Halfway there, I had toconfess that I had been following your blog after following a link from Jim Hall's FLS column and I was convinced that the care and compassion that I read in these lines would possibly reflect in the level of care I received at the hospital. I still laugh when I remember him saying . . ."we are going to this (unknown) hospital because of some woman's blog???" Oh! Dear! Lol!

Anyway, I found I was a good judge of character and the nurses at your hospital are really, truly outstanding. The first night I was there, and I did not ever remember the nurse's name, but she checked on me all night long. She was so sweet, professional and caring it was not to be believed. And every single nurse after that was just as outstanding. Their caring included encouragement that my health was Improving and I felt their sincerity. I felt I could even relax and get better. They were ethical and professional. They knew what they were doing and when I was terrified of a certain medical procedure, one of my nurses took a deep breath, put a smile on her face and stood next to me and explained the entire procedure in terms of speech and hand movements and facial expressions that was reminiscent of Martha Stewart explaining how to debone a chicken and cook it in mushrooms and cream sauce. I fell for it hook, line and sinker. They wheeled me off for the procedure like gangbusters.

I told all of my friends about my positive experience and several of them have gone there for emergencies, surgeries and were admitted. Everyone reports the same experience. "Seems like a home town hospital". And they love the nursing care. Keep praising them Nancy! They deserve it! And you are wonderful!
